CNC Miller

Nexus Resource Solutions are working in partnership with a well-established machine shop who have a very healthy order book. They provide services to the Energy, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Marine and MOD industries.

We currently require an experienced CNC Miller who can programme using Heidenhain controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of detailed components to customer’s specification.

Duties:

  • Set and operate up to 4-axis CNC milling machines safely and efficiently

  • Programme using Heidenhain is essential

  • Responsible for quality and full conformity to the drawings

  • Read and interpret, technical drawings, must be able to work to tight tolerances

Experience:

  • Proven experience of 3-4 axis machining

  • Experience with Heidenhain is a must, however we would also consider Fanuc

  • Used to working to tight tolerances

Remuneration:

  • £16.15ph basic

  • Overtime is x1.5 after 37hrs

  • Double overtime on Sundays

  • Around 300hrs of overtime available per year

  • 33 days holiday

In-situ Reserve

If the candidate wishes, there is also the potential for them to support their in-situ machining squad during busy periods, offering a higher rate and more hours, working at various sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad. The rate is generally 1.5 times the machine shop rates and consist of 10-12 hours days. A reserve may work around 500 hours on the in-situ machining squad per year and therefore offers an opportunity to significantly increase earnings.
